About Dandeli
Dandeli and Joida are neighbouring taluka in Uttar Kannada District of Karnataka State – India. Joida taluk is consisting 95% of forest and 5% Land so it is as nature heaven with evergreen jungle. Dandeli and Joida places are nested in western ghat, located under Karwar district of Karnataka state – India, which is famous for its Dandeli Adventure, nature, thick jungle, Wildlife, aesthetic nature and a natural habitat for wildlife, that including tigers, leopards, black panthers, elephants, gaur, deer, antelopes, and bears.
Dandeli forest is ranked no. 1 in India. It is the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka and was designated as a tiger reserve in 2007. The jungle is also home to several varieties of reptiles and almost 301 varieties of birds. Dandeli, a district located in the Uttara Kannada region has the second largest wildlife sanctuary in the state of Karnataka. It is in true terms, a part of heaven tucked neatly in Karnataka. The place is a natural habitat of varied species of animals. Besides, Dandeli is also home to crocodiles and exotic snakes.
